We reserve the right to decline any patient we deem to be at increased risk for complications or risk to out staff. We no longer accept brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston
Terriers, Persians, etc). We are also unable to accommodate patients 90lbs and over. We require preanesthetic bloodwork on patients 7 years and older, and will decline geriatric patients (10+ years). If your pet shows any sign of disease or illness, obesity, or if they are too aggressive to handle safely, they will also be declined. Spays and neuters are elective surgical procedures and we will only accept healthy patients.
The feral cat package includes surgical sterilization (male or female), a rabies vaccine, and an ear tip. The ear tip is a small cut made across the tip of the left ear. This helps differentiate a sterilized animal from an intact animal without the need of physical exam.
Feral cats are required to arrive in a live trap for the safety of the cat and our staff. They will be turned away if they arrive in a carrier or kennel. ONE CAT PER TRAP. If you catch two cats in one trap, you must bring an additional empty trap, and there is a $30 transfer fee. They are welcome as walk-ins at our Alexandria location only. We can not accept walk-ins at our mobile locations. Please check the schedule above for mobile days/closures prior to trapping cats. Check in is from 7:30-8:15, check out is from 4-4:30. We can not accommodate more than 3 cats per trapper.
We offer free post-operative exams and suture removals. We are available by phone for post-op questions or concerns, even when our office is closed. Please call 318-787-7729 and leave a message, your call will be returned.
Please be advised that we do not require that our patients be up to date on vaccinations prior to their appointments. However, we strongly recommend that pets be appropriately vaccinated against contagious diseases prior to bringing them to any location where there may be unvaccinated animals. While we do not accept sick patients at our clinic, it is possible for apparently healthy patients to spread disease. Diseases such as parvo virus and kennel cough are preventable with appropriate yearly vaccinations administered by your regular veterinarian.
We require a $25 deposit for all appointments. Deposits are applied to your total bill. Deposits for our mobile locations are NON-REFUNDABLE. Deposits for our Alexandria location can be refunded or transferred until 48 hours before your appointment. Within 48 hours of your appointment, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy is in place to allow us to continue offering steeply discounted services. Thank you for your understanding.
A $25 deposit per pet is due at the time of scheduling.
There is a 3 month wait for female dogs; call to schedule if appointments are not available online.
